This tool may be available cheaper from other sources - we are not trying to compete with them but rather we offer this tool for sale to Locksmiths that need it and don't have access to a dealer source. We have been selling dealer tools to Locksmiths for almost 10 years now and also give you the Tech Support you need. Nobody can beat us on that.

Here's how it works:
Install the software disc that we supply onto your computer (usually a laptop) and connect the the StarMOBILE with the cable we supply you and then plug into the vehicle! Since the StarMOBILE is connected to your computer - you program the keys with your laptop. The StarMOBILE works as "PASS-Through" unit.


The StarMOBILE Kit from National Auto Lock comes with the StarMOBILE Device, a 25' Network Cable, OBD2 Cable, StarMOBILE Software Disc, Power Supply, Trigger Device, Carry Case & Tech Support. (Computer not included. Windows XP required to run software smoothly. Working NIC connection, all Windows type computers made in the last 5 years have an NIC slot also known as a Network or Ethernet slot.)

The newest member of DaimlerChrysler's family of diagnostic tools. Our flagship product, the StarSCAN diagnostic tool, is the foundation of Chrysler Group vehicle service diagnostics. The StarMOBILE expands these capabilities to include integral wireless support and the following enhancements:

Customer Data Recorder
The StarMOBILE supplements the Co-Pilot as a customer flight recorder for Controller Area Network vehicles. It has expanded event storage capacity and is able to simultaneously record data elements across multiple ECUs - including body modules. The StarMOBILE can operate automatically or when triggered by the customer to record intermittent problems.

Pass-Through Diagnostics
In this operation the StarMOBILE runs specialized software in conjunction with a PC to allow scan tool functionality, including data display and diagnostic and flash functions. Whereas in the past, the Co-Pilot would sit on the shelf when not in the customer vehicle, the StarMOBILE can be put to work freeing up the StarSCAN for the more extensive diagnostic tasks.

Q: What can I use the StarMobile for?
A: The StarMobile will allow a locksmith to program and erase keys for Chrysler, Dodge, And Jeep vehicles that are on the CAN system.


Q: How much does it cost? What is included in the package?
A: Complete package is $2195.00, Includes: StarMOBILE Device, a 25' Network Cable, OBD2 Cable, StarMOBILE Software Disc, Power Supply, Trigger Device, Carry Case & Instructions.


Q: Will it work on older Type 1, Type 2, and Pacifica vehicles?
A: No, only vehicles on the CAN system at this time. A future software release may include the ability to work on the older systems.


Q: Will the StarMobile perform other functions?
A: Yes, but some functions such as ECU re-programming may only be completed if it is connected to the Chrysler Network through the dealership or dealer access website. We only support questions that have to do with Key Programming and Erasing Keys.


Q: Will it work on 2007 and up vehicles?
A: Yes


Q: Can the StarMobile be updated?
A: Yes, but we will not know how much updates will cost until they are released. Also, not every update will be necessary for key programming.


Q: Is a 4 digit dealer pin code still required for programming?
A: Yes, the pin code must still be obtained from the dealer.


Q: Is a Challenge / Response code still required for key programming?
A: No


Q: Will the StarMobile program the new PT Cruiser, new Dodge RAM, and 2007 Dodge Charger?
A: Yes, the StarMobile & StarScan are the only devices that will program these 3 models and others.


Q: Do I need a computer too?
A: Yes, the StarMobile plugs into a computer and the car at the same time. You must install software on the computer to communicate with the car.


Q: Is the software included with the StarMobile? What kind of computer do I need?
A: Yes, the software is included. Any computer with Windows XP operating system will work. We recommend using a laptop computer for better mobility.


Q: Will any other Operating System run the software?
A: No, only Windows XP.
